The Lake James State Park is offering a fox hike this weekend.
Participants can learn about the two types of foxes found at Lake James, through the help of Park Ranger Nora Coffey.
The two-mile trek on the Fox Den Loop is moderately difficult.
Park officials recommend bringing water and wearing weather-appropriate clothing.
Interested hikers are to meet at the Catawba River Area Office of the Lake James State Park, located at 2785 NC 123 in Nebo, Saturday, January 19, at 2 p.m.
The cost is free and the park is open to the public.
